Terms of service

The service

Torzen is an executable protection service provided by Torzen OÜ. You upload and download files in the panel or, on plans with API access, through the API.

Licenses

  • Personal plans belong to one person. Do not share your sign-in details or API tokens with anyone else.
  • The Foundry plan is sold under a business license. The account belongs to a company, and the company’s employees may use it to protect the company’s own software. The company decides who has access and is responsible for it.

Custom engine

On Foundry we build protection features to the customer’s requirements and generate a virtualization VM used only in that customer’s product. The scope and schedule of this work are agreed in writing after the subscription starts.

Limits

Every plan has a daily protection limit described on the pricing page. One protection is one run on one file. The limit renews every 24 hours, and unused protections do not carry over. The limits and queue page has the details.

Files

  • Input files, symbols and results are deleted 3 days after processing.
  • We do not share your files with anyone or use them for anything other than performing the protection.
  • You own the files protected with Torzen. You may distribute them with no extra fees and without saying that Torzen was used.

Prohibited uses

You may use the service only to protect software you have the rights to. Protecting malware, or files meant to infringe the rights of others, is not allowed. In that case we may block the account without a refund and pass information to the competent authorities.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running without interruptions. Planned maintenance is announced in the panel in advance. Jobs interrupted by a failure on our side do not use your limit.

Liability

Check how a protected file works before you release it. Our liability is limited to the fees for the last three months of your subscription, as far as the law allows.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time: nothing renews automatically, so your plan ends with the paid period. We may terminate the contract for a serious breach of these terms. Files protected earlier remain yours.
